| 12-10-2009 Our dear friend Dennis Trooster is currently mixing our third demo, so it should be finished in a couple of weeks. We have already heard the mixed versions of "The land of fire and ice" and "The storm" and we are very excited about it! When the demo is finished we will put it online, so make sure you check that out! There are currently three gigs for us to come, so check out the "gigs" page to find out where you can see some true Dutch Power Metal! SCHRAAPSTAAL REGNAT EX SARTAGINE!!! |

| 02-05-2009 and Schraapstaal isn't tired yet! On Thursday we had the show at Skatefest, and Friday the show at LCC Delfshaven. It's been two really great days, a lot of driving and moving around large equipment, but definitely worth it. Both shows went really awesome, great sound and lots of enthusiastic viewers. Also, both shows were photographed by two professional photographers, so hopefully we’ll be able to post those pictures online soon! We’re still also working on finishing the demo, and we can only tell you it is going well. If everything goes according to our plans we’ll be able to make it available to all fans in a couple of weeks. Just have a little patience... |

| 02-12-2008 Then we've got news for you! Schaapstaal is currently working on their second demo titled 'The Storm'. The demo will probably contain seven of the bands' greatest tracks including some older favorites and some surprising new material. We're not exactly sure when the demo will be finished, but we hope to be starting the recordings soon. Check the website for updates! |

| 30-11-2008 Good news for Schraapstaal fans: Schraapstaal had a gig last night at Waterfront in Rotterdam for the first rounds of Emergenza Music Festival. After a long night with eight different bands, we finally heard Schraapstaal came in second and is moving on to the next round! This means an upcoming gig in Noord-Holland, but we don't know the exact details yet. Be sure to check the Schraapstaal website again soon to find out when, where and at what price you can come and heersch with Schraapstaal! |
| Schraapstaal Does Emergenza |
| 24-10-2008 Heerschers! Schraapstaal will be playing for the prestigious Emergenza festival (an international bandcontest, hailing from Italy! Check www.emergenza.net) on November 29th. These preliminaries will be held over at Waterfront, Rotterdam (www.waterfront.nl), and it will be awesome! 8 bands, 4 hours of non-stop musical onslaught. The winner of this round will go to round 2, in which they will face off against the winners of the other participating venues. After that, semi-finals, and following that - The Dutch Finals -. Schraapstaal needs your support! With your votes, Schraapstaal will make it to the other rounds. Votes will be counted by the number of hands and fists raised in name of the band right after their show. So make sure you're there! What: Emergenza preliminaries Who: Schraapstaal, Project D, Classic Omen, and many more. | 13-05-2008 Last weekend Schraapstaal had two amazing gigs. The first one at Mach in Hellevoetsluis was together with Evil's Desire. The show was really awesome, everyone enjoyed it. Benne van der Velde, a poet from Vlaardingen, is working on a review of that show, which will be posted soon! The second gig was at Freedoms Noise Festival at JC Dukdalf in Wieringerwerf. There were a total of four bands and of course Schraapstaal was one of the best ones there! Well, it certainly was a great weekend; nice weather, cute groupies, lot's of beer and power metal... what more could you wish for? |

| 01-04-2008 On march 28th Schraapstaal played another show together with Evil's Desire in Spijkenisse. Schraapstaal started the evening off with an hour worth of brilliant power metal. The crowd went totally wild and obviously really enjoyed the show. Pictures will be posted soon on the website. Also, many thanks to Evil's Desire for inviting us again. Their show was awesome, check Evil's Desire's music on their website (check our links). |

| 19-12-2007 Finally, after a long time Schraapstaal had the opportunity to play in Vlaardingen. Together with the deathmetal band Skin Coffin we had a great night at Cafe de Hommel. The place was jam-packed with fans and we'd like to thank them all for coming to see us! Sadly, Robin wasn't able to make it because of his recovery process. He will be coming back quite soon and we're sure he'll be in the next show. But, to sum things up: the show in Cafe de Hommel was really great and we'll be posting the pictures soon! |

| 23-11-2007 Yesterday we all had a great time playing in Café Lazarus in Leiden. We were invited there by Evil's Desire, the other band that played that evening. Unfortunately Robin, our bass-player, wasn't able to play, since he just came out of the hospital. Antal played the bass instead, but we still missed the second guitar. But even though Robin wasn't there, we still had a great time playing, and watching Evil's Desire afterwards. Thanks a lot to everyone who was there to support us! |
